Los considerados "antesala de los Oscar", los Globos de Oro (premios que conceden los corresponsales cinematográficos extranjeros en Hollywood) ya tienen candidatos. Probablemente muchos de los nombres citados se repetirán dentro de unas semanas (exactamente el 15 de enero), cuando se anuncien los nominados al Oscar. La ceremonia de entrega de estos prestigiosos premios se celebrará el 11 de enero en el Beverly Hilton Hotel, de Beverly Hills, y el espectáculo será presentado por tercer año consecutivo por Tina Fey y Amy Poehler.

Nominados en cine

La lista está llena de grandes nombres de Hollywood. Al premio a mejor película cómica o musical optan títulos como Birdman, El gran Hotel Budapest, Pride, San Vincent o Into the Woods (En el bosque), mientras que el premio al mejor drama puede recaer en Boyhood, The Imitation Game, The Teory of Nothing, Selma o Foxcatcher. 

El mejor director del año puede ser Wes Anderson (El gran Hotel Budapest), David Fincher (Gone Girl), Alejandro González Iñárritu (Birdman), Richard Linklater (Boyhood) o Ava DuVernay (Selma).

Los candidatos al premio a mejor actor en una comedia o musical son: Ralph Fiennes (El gran Hotel Budapest), Michael Keaton (Birdman), Bill Murray (St. Vincent), Joaquim Phoenix (Inherent Vice) y Chris Waltz (Big Eyes); mientras que Amy Adams (Big Eyes), Emily Blunt (Into the Woods), Julianne Moore (Maps to the Stars), Helen Mirren (The Hundred-Foot Journey) y Quvenzhané Wallis (Annie) optan al mismo premio en la categoría femenina. 

Algunos de los aspirantes al Globo de Oro como mejor actor dramático son Steve Carrell (Foxcatcher), Benedict Cumberbatch (The Imitation Game), David Oyelowo (Selma), Eddie Redmayne (The Theory of Everything) o Jake Gyllenhall (Nightcrawler); mientras Jennifer Aniston (Cake), Felicity Jones (The Theory of Everything), Julianne Moore (Still Alice), Rosamund Pike (Gone Girl) o Resse Witherspoon (Wild) aspiran al premio femenino. 

También abundan los nombres de estrellas en cuanto a los actores de reparto: Robert Duvall, Ethan Hawke, Edward Norton o Mark Ruffalo optan al premio en la categoría masculina, mientras Patricia Arquette, Jessica Chastain, Keira Knightley, Emma Stone y Meryl Streep pueden llevarse el premio a mejor actriz de reparto.

El premio a la mejor película de animación puede ser para: Big Hero 6, The Book of Life, The Boxtrolls, Cómo entrenar a tu dragón 2 y La Lego Película. 

Birdman, con siete candidaturas, es la película que opta a más premios. Le siguen The Imitation Game y Boyhood, con cinco respectivamente.
